How do I obtain a duplicate Aadhar card from the UIDAI website?

To obtain a duplicate Aadhar via the Aadhar website, go to the UIDAI website and navigate to the download card section. Here are the measures to take.

First, select the appropriate option based on the data point available to you. Select “Aadhaar No” / “Enrolment No.”

Insert basic information such as your name, email address, and mobile phone number that is registered with UID.

Then, enter the security code that appears on the screen and click the “Get OTP” button. An OTP will be sent across to the person’s registered mobile number/e-mail address automatically. You can enter the OTP obtained on your registered phone number and click the “Verify OTP” button.

You will then receive an SMS on your cell phone with your Aadhaar or Enrolment number. After receiving the Aadhaar number or enrolment id, the user can access to https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/. You will be prompted to enter your Aadhaar or Enrolment ID. Input your Aadhaar number or Enrolment ID, complete name, pin code, security text, and mobile number as given on the tab.

A one-time password (OTP) will be given to the registered mobile number. In the “Enter OTP” page, enter the OTP that you received on your mobile device and click “Validate and Generate.” Your Aadhaar card will be generated as a PDF document. You can now download and print this. Always keep a copy on hand on your pen drive or in your cloud storage for easy access at any time.

You can also obtain your Aadhar card offline

A duplicate copy of an Aadhaar card can also be obtained offline by visiting an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre or phoning the toll-free number. Users can request a duplicate Aadhaar card by contacting the UIDAI’s toll-free number 1947. The steps are straightforward.

To use the call centre, dial the UIDAI’s toll-free number 1800-180-1947 or 1947, follow the IVR prompts, and select the option to speak with an Aadhaar Executive. You may now obtain a duplicate copy of your Aadhaar card from the executive. The CEO will ask you a few questions to verify your identification for security purposes.

Once your information has been verified over the phone, the executive will accept your request and begin the procedure. The duplicate Aadhaar card will be mailed to the specified residential address.

Simply go to your nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre and obtain a duplicate Aadhaar. You must first complete the Aadhar Correction form. If you know your Aadhaar number or enrolment number, you can obtain a duplicate Aadhaar from the registrar. Alternatively, the executive will validate your biometrics and request a duplicate Aadhaar card based on master data.
